I'm Gareth Couzens, a web designer and developer based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Before MachFly, I spent five years in IT — diagnosing infrastructure problems, building systems under pressure, and learning that technical problems need technical solutions, not workarounds.

Directly with me — the founder. There are no account managers, no handoffs to a junior, and no outsourcing. Every email, every decision, and every line of your website comes from one person who is fully invested in your project.
Timelines vary depending on the scope and how quickly content is provided. As a rough guide: a Starter site typically takes 1–2 weeks, a Studio project 3–5 weeks, and an Enterprise build 6–10 weeks. These timelines assume prompt feedback and content delivery on your end — I'll always give you a clear schedule before we begin.
Every project includes two rounds of revisions at each design stage. This is usually more than enough when we've had a thorough discovery call upfront. Additional revision rounds outside the agreed scope can be accommodated at an hourly rate — this will always be discussed and agreed before any work is done.
Pricing & Payment
For one-off projects, I require a 50% deposit to secure your start date, with the remaining 50% due on completion before the site goes live. For Enterprise projects, we can arrange a three-stage payment schedule — deposit, mid-project milestone, and completion. I accept bank transfer and all major debit and credit cards.
Your project price covers design and build only. Ongoing costs to budget for separately include domain registration (typically £10–20/year), web hosting (varies by provider), and any premium plugins or third-party tools your site uses. I'll always be transparent about what you'll need and recommend cost-effective options. Optional monthly maintenance plans start from £79/month if you'd like me to handle everything for you.
All prices shown on this site are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added to invoices at the applicable rate where required. If you are a VAT-registered business, you will be able to reclaim this.
Absolutely. The pricing packages on this site cover the most common project types, but every business is different. If your requirements don't fit neatly into a package — or you need a combination of services — get in touch and I'll put together a tailored proposal at no cost to you.
Content & Practicalities
For most projects, yes — you'll need to provide the text and any images or logos for your site. You know your business better than anyone, so your words will always resonate more authentically with your clients. I'll guide you with a content brief to make it as straightforward as possible. If you'd like help with copywriting or sourcing professional photography, I can recommend trusted partners.
Yes, without exception. Every site I build is designed mobile-first, meaning it looks and works perfectly on phones, tablets, and desktops. With the majority of web traffic now coming from mobile devices, this isn't optional — it's fundamental.
Yes. Where a CMS is included in your package, I'll set it up so you can easily update text, images, blog posts, and other content without touching any code. I'll provide a handover walkthrough so you feel confident managing it yourself. If you'd rather leave updates to me, a monthly care plan has you covered.
All projects include a post-launch support period (1 month on Starter, 3 months on Studio, 12 months on Enterprise) during which I'll fix any bugs or issues at no extra charge. After that, support is available through a monthly care plan or on an ad-hoc basis. Given my background in IT infrastructure, you're in good hands when it comes to diagnosing and resolving technical issues quickly.
